Despite the fact that I've been on the hunt for Steve 'n' SteveN for several years, I somehow missed the release of this video (made by the folks at Delo Creative) THREE AND A HALF YEARS AGO.

Sigh.  I can't even.

Just watch.  Please.

World Premiere Video: "Daylight" - The Dream Jam Band

Rather than some complicated introduction, let me state simply that I think this brand new song and video is lovely.  It's for "Daylight," the leadoff track from The Dream Jam Band's brand-new album The World of Nickhoo.  The adult watching might hear some echoes of the Beatles in the gentle, wake-up melody, and see some echoes of movies like The Red Balloon, Gravity, and Star Wars in the visuals from Planet Sunday, but you don't need any of those references to enjoy the simple journey of a raccoon through the world.

The album itself is released digitally today and physically in mid-May.  You can learn about the whole album at the World of Nickhoo site.  For now, I'm just pleased to world-premiere this video.

This video for "Prefix or Suffix?" is the second one funded via The Bazillions' Kickstarter project to fund a new set of videos from their Heads or Tales? album, following their video for "Silent e."  Jangly and educational in all the best ways.

Video: "My Daddy's Record Collection" - Sugar Free Allstars

Perhaps you missed my interview on Record Store Day and vinyl (kindie and otherwise) with Oklahoma's Sugar Free Allstars.  Regardless of whether you did or didn't, you should check out the video below for "My Daddy's Record Collection," SFA's offering for this year's Record Store Day.  It's pretty darn simple, a lyric video with only the tiniest bit of additional action, but the song is funky ("boogie time," indeed), and you can, in fact, verify that when Chris "Boom" Wiser shouts out Waylon Jennings' theme song to The Dukes of Hazzard, he wasn't kidding.  Preorder the track at SFA's website, and if you like the idea of buying a tribute to vinyl on mp3 or listening over the computer, do so via the widget below.

Video: "Los Colores" - Andrés Salguero

"De Colores" is a classic song, but, frankly, after many years of parenthood, I'm more than willing to call for a personal moratorium on that lovely tune.  I'm ready for other songs celebrating in Spanish the many different colors around the world.

I do kinda like this song from Andrés Salguero from his forthcoming debut kids' album ¡Uno, Dos, Tres con Andrés! --it's called "Los Colores" (natch), and it's a gentle folk song pointing out the colors of the world around us.  The animation from Santiago Germano is an excellent match, and I think a lot of preschoolers will enjoy the brief animated trip.
