Video: "My Little Chicken (Chopsticks)" - Beethoven's Wig`

What do you get when you cross Seven Brides with Seven Brothers with musically destructive poultry? I have no idea. But while you're pondering that, distract your kids for a minute or so by letting them watch the first video from the upcoming Beethoven's Wig album Sing Along Piano Classics, out next month. It's called "My Little Chicken," but you probably know the base melody as "Chopsticks." It's amusing. Perhaps your kids will be able to answer the question I've posed above. Video: "Ong Tal Sam (Little Spring)" - Elizabeth Mitchell

Y'know, Elizabeth Mitchell's version of "Ong Tal Sam," or "Little Spring" was always one of my favorite cuts off Sunny Day, and this video just makes me love it even more. Oh, the cuteness. (Yes, I am secure in my masculinity and still feel confident in proclaiming, "Oh, the cuteness" on the interwebs.) Elizabeth Mitchell & You Are My Flower - "Ong Tal Sam (Little Spring)" [Vimeo]

Video: "The Muppet Show Theme Song" - OK Go

The Muppets. OK Go. Together again for the first time, performing "The Muppet Show Theme Song." It's treadmill-tational! Kids will giggle. Adults will howl. Kinda like The Muppet Show itself. Yes, it's worth the brief embedded commercial before it starts. [By the way, in case you or your kids absolutely love this version of the song, you should be aware that the version on Muppets: The Green Album comes without the Muppet voices.] OK Go - "The Muppet Show Theme Song" [YouTube]

Monday Morning Smile: The Best Kermit the Frog YouTube Video of All Time

There will lots more written about the Muppets this week, what with the release tomorrow of The Green Album, a collection of covers of Muppets-related tunes by a series of indie-rock, punk, and adult-alternative artists. But this -- THIS -- is the best Kermit the Frog YouTube video of all time. Yes, I've posted about this before, but it's so, so, so good. It's not really for the kids, but there's nothing unfriendly about it, either. Stick around for the very end. Video: "Grandmom's House" - Recess Monkey

The boys in Recess Monkey have gone where no kids music group has gone before in their latest video. The bowling alley. That's right, for the funky "Grandmom's House" off FLYING!, the trio -- or at least a remarkably similar looking bunch of ladies possibly using a senior discount -- show us a bunch of talented moves... on the lanes. Seriously, I haven't seen so many strikes in a bowling alley since watching bowling on ABC, like, 25 years ago. Recess Monkey - "Grandmom's House" [YouTube]

Video: "Sweet Honeybees" - Enzo Garcia

Oh, it's been too long since we've heard (nationally, anyway) from San Francisco musician Enzo Garcia, and he's actually on hiatus. So while "Sweet Honeybees" isn't a super-new song, it's new enough. It's a cute song, a plea to save honeybees' homes, so I'll take it. [Garcia writes in to say that it's a partial hiatus only... his "Breakfast With Enzo" shows are still going on thrice weekly and there will be another new Enzo album.] Plus. Young kids dancing in honeybee costumes is, like, #7 on the All-Time Cutest Things Ever list. Enzo Garcia - "Sweet Honeybees" [YouTube]
