The latest (as yet unreleased) Yo Gabba Gabba song is from Ladytron, who lend their electronica stylings to a little ditty I have named "Use Your Mind." That's a(n) (educated) guess of the title, because all the band says on their YouTube page is, "No it's not our song..." as if they wanted to wipe their hands of the thing. While it's not an instant classic, it's not half bad, either. As a dance-inspiring video, though, it's no Beyonce. [Update: That video was taken down, and posted on Nettwerk's page. No disparagement any more, but confirmation of the title.]

Video: "Dinosaur in My Backyard" - Hullabaloo
San Diego's Hullabaloo have always done a good job making minimal, but effective, videos for their folk-pop songs. This video, for "Dinosaur in My Backyard" off their new album High Roller, owes a debt to the Toy Story movies, but that's not a bad debt to have, no?

Video: "Bubble Factory" - Recess Monkey
It's been, what, four or five months since we last heard from Seattle's Recess Monkey, but clearly there have been some tensions between the band and its hand puppet band manager, Mayor Monkey -- tensions that are played out in "Bubble Factory," the latest video from the trio's fine Field Trip album...

Video: "Educated Kid" (Live) - The Hipwaders
I need very little reason to post anything related to The Hipwaders' "Educated Kid." So, here's the band playing the song live at San Francisco's cross-country traveling Tricycle Music Fest West last weekend, along with a whole bunch of inflatable guitars, natch. (What, no kindie Christmas songs, guys?)

Here are a couple more videos from the band...
Video: "That's My Family" (from Yo Gabba Gabba!) - Apples in Stereo
Well, it's not family in particular, but there's only many family types you can describe in exactly 90 seconds. Or at least, in a bouncy pop tune. While it's not quite as incredibly awesome a tune as "We R Super Heroes," the animation for this video for "That's My Family" looks similar in places as the video for "We R Super Heroes." (Unsurprisingly, they share the same illustrator.) This tune's from Yo Gabba Gabba!, and, yeah, while it's an Apples in Stereo song, it sounds like a Robbert Bobbert outtake. Or vice versa.

Oh, and if you like Apples in Stereo...
Video: "Adventure Quest!" - The Jellydots
Here it is, folks, the first video for The Jellydots. Doug made good on his suggestion that his upcoming album Jelly Jukebox would be a lot more beat-based, and with this video for "Adventure Quest!" from the album, he's playing around with a younger doppelganger. It's a video every bit as funky (and fun) as the song itself.
