Video: "Just the Juice, Jack" - Coal Train Railroad (Readee-Oh Version)

A few weeks back, I suggested, almost offhandedly that Readeez mastermind Michael Rachap should hook up with the fine folks at Coal Train Railroad. It was mostly flippant, so imagine my surprise when I heard that CTR and Rachap were working on a video together. Of course, Rachap's working on "Moneyeez" (my term), and CTR have their podcast, so they're busy folks, no doubt. The result came out late last week, and it's nifty. I really dig the exploding/rotating cherries. (And the song is still fun.) As for me, I promise to use my power for good, not evil. Video: "13 O' Clock" - Secret Agent 23 Skidoo

Here's the second of two Secret Agent 23 Skidoo videos from his forthcoming Underground Playground album. (Here's "Chase the Rain".) Who knew that Skidoo had friends in Cirque du Soleil? This is a story/imagination song more along the lines of "Hot Lava." Secret Agent 23 Skidoo - "13 O' Clock" [YouTube]

Secret Agent 23 Skidoo's second album of kid-hop Underground Playground has a release date -- August 31st (woot!). More importantly, the songs are starting to trickle out. "Road Trip" has started to hit radio airwaves (look for it on my Live365 station this week) and he's got a couple videos out. The video for "13 O' Clock" is definitely the more interesting visually, but I love this song. For those of you who really dug "Luck." Secret Agent 23 Skidoo - "Chase the Rain" [YouTube]

Video: "Stuff" / "Me and My Ice Cream Cone" - Snacks

I mentioned Snacks a couple days ago in my big DVD review and had some kind words to say for their Snacks the DVD offering. The problem with doing a brief review of a DVD is that it's hard to give you a sense of the songs and visuals. Unless you go to YouTube. So, enjoy. It's lo-fi, but done well. Snacks - "Stuff" [YouTube] Not just one, but two, more videos (a little more poppy) from the DVD after the jump.

Video: "Black Hole in My Room" - Recess Monkey

I can't say that the video for "Black Hole in My Room" from Recess Monkey's The Final Funktier is all that specifically related to the song itself. It does feature, however, an over tooth-pasted drummer, fancy editing techniques, and a lovable Alf doll. So, on the whole, a big Daron Henry-provided thumbs up.
