... if only I could figure out what it was...
(I'm amused by the Readeez-superimposed ducks at the end.)
Video: "Field Trip" - The Hipwaders
My copy of Goodie Bag, the new EP from the Bay Area band The Hipwaders came packaged with an actual goodie bag, one of the very few promotional schwag items that have actually made me laugh. More thoughts on the EP in the future, but for the moment, you can hear the song "Field Trip" in the video below. The occasional lack of syncing makes it sound a little bit like the studio version dubbed over a live performance, but in any case it's a cool little space-jazzy song (apropos for the subject at hand).

This isn't quite as good as "The Island Hop," perhaps, but it's still somewhat amusing, even if you keep waiting for the Statue of Liberty to appear, half-buried. From Caspar Babypants' debut CD (and maybe albums before that) Here I Am!

Friday Night Laziness
Been swamped with stuff and so haven't been able to get to a few larger-scale items (reviews and the like). So I'll resort to the lazy blogger's friend -- YouTube!
Here, another new song from Rocknoceros, captured live. Woo!

Video: "Getting In A Treetop" - Gustafer Yellowgold
The first video from the upcoming Gustafer Yellowgold CD/DVD set, Gustafer Yellowgold's Mellow Fever (out March 17), has been posted to YouTube. It's the mellow (of course) "Getting in a Treetop," which features a pretty vocal line from Morgan Taylor and some acrobatic somersaulting from the man in yellow.

Classic. You'll have a grin on your face (or finger) all day. From the excellent debut CD Here I Am! (review)

But wait, there's more!
