New Music From Frances England: "Sunset Shines On Me"
This is how much I trust Frances England and her music.
For the life of me I can't get this video to work, but it's new music from Frances, celebrating her kids' preschool, Sunset Co-op Nursery School in San Francisco. Seeing as her career got started from recording Fascinating Creatures as a preschool fundraiser, I'm guessing she likes the place.
So I'm posting it in hopes that you'll tell me what it sounds like. (And eventually I'll get it to work myself.)
Update: I got a chance to hear it last night. My instincts were correct. For somebody unconnected to the school, it was a pleasant chance to hear Frances sing about something meaningful to her. I'm sure those connected to the school loooove the song.

Three chords of musical bliss, Stefan. Doggonit, I wish my school had had a theme song this groovy. And it's groovy in a mellow, Velvet Underground buzz kind of way. Very cool.

It's exactly as you'd expect. Super sweet and sing-along-able. Happy.
And it has one of my daughter's kindergarten buddies in it, so that's going to be good for about 1000 listens on top of the 1000 we'd have anyway.
Nice!

Wow...thanks, Frances, for that moving tribute. The love and sense of magic that ooze from the school really shone through. Our Sunset kids will be singing that song for years to come!

Well you see, Stefan, there's this rippin' bass solo followed by some Burundi drumming that has to be heard...nah, it's just like Warren said.
With a name like "Frances England" it's gotta be good!

The Sunset Co-op is a pretty amazing place and how Frances captures this into one song is really fantastic. This song is always sung at our house since it starts with something we say a lot: "there's a place I love..."
